Biography
Jim Thorp is Birmingham's leading Corrective Exercise Specialist. Corrective exercise is the form of exercise that deals specifically with restoring correct function to the body. It forms the basis of most of Jim's training because by restoring normal function to the body, the chances of successfully improving body composition, appearance, performance or reducing pain is dramatically increased.
Jim is fully committed to personal development both through relentless studying but also by making sure that he applies all that he learns to himself - walking the walk is one of his key philosophies. He is not at the end of his personal journey, but is enjoying the ride.
Jim takes pride in his ability to get results. Having moved from 'pure' personal training into exercise and lifestyle coaching he enjoys seeing his clients grow, learn and understand more about their own bodies and how to look after themselves with less and less guidance.
Although a specialist in spinal rehabilitation, rehabilitation of chronic (long term) injuries & ailments and strength & conditioning, Jim is able to apply his knowledge and adapt his approach to the unique requirements of each client. He is friendly but firm, ambitious but realistic and ultimately successful.
